Russell "Doc" Metzger of Albuquerque, NM, is my indispensable associate and ally in many creative endeavors - from music to art to producing films. His music, from its brilliant song lyrics to enticing melodies, has enriched several of my films, both previous ("Before We Say Goodbye") and soon to be completed ("Scarlett May Blossom" and "Professor Hack Harddrive Hacks the Universe"). Recording with "Doc" Metzger at Kitty Wells's famous studio in Nashville was an unforgettable positive experience. His unique talent as a visionary artist resulted in our intense collaboration creating 24 multi-media works, some 8-feet long, which were honored by 3-month display at the Ritz-Carlton of Laguna CA, and which are the subject of a book ("Blue Jeans and Oil: The Art of Paul Jeffrey Davids and Russell Metzger) published by Blurb.com. Whenever "Doc" Metzger comes to me with one of his fresh and innovative creative proposals, it is my priority to delve into the potential shown by his insightful artistic ideas.
